Lights Out Germany – what’s up?

What’s up with the Völkerschlachtdenkmal (English: Monument of the Battle of the Nations) in Leipzig, Germany?
Völkerschlachtdenkmal during Lights Out
According the official list on lichtaus.info the Völkerschlachtdenkmal should contribute to the 5 minute Lights Out. But unfortunately the lights didn’t go out!
I stood there in the cold with a photojournalist which tried to sell his picture to the BILD Zeitung, but now he has another story :-) If I hear something of why the lights stayed on — I will write it here.

War ja auch eine sinnlose AKtion. Licht an – aber richtig! ist da wesentlich ökologischer.
